Blood+ Information
Blood+ is based off of the movie Blood:The Last Vampire.
Otonashi Saya is a ordinary girl with a usually large appetite. She has no memory for the past year and is under cared of her adopted father George Miyagusuku. Her happy life is shattered when she is a attack by a chiropterans and learns that only she can defeat them. With her sword Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies, and Chevalier, Haji, to rid the world of Chiropterans and rediscover her identity. The journey reveals the background of the chiropterans and her past. With extends to the mid 19 century.
The series revolves around Otonashi Saya who seems to be a ordinary high school girl who is secretly guarded by her Chevalier, Haji and is under care of her adopted family, her adopted father George Miyagusuku,who was a veteran of the Vietnam War, her older adopted brother Kai,a star athlete, and her younger brother Riku, and smart kind but shy boy.
The series has a organization called Red Shield. It was formed to battle chiropterans. It was founded by descendants of Joel Goldschmidt, the man who found Saya and Diva. Most of the member has been attacked by chiropterans or have lost someone from them. They all have possess a trinket with an embedded Chiropteran crystal. The Red Shield's greatest enemy is Diva, and her Chevaliers. They are also responsible for Saya's protection and well-being, as well as using her as their key weapon against the Chiropterans.
The Cinq Flèches Group or Goldsmiths are a branch of the Goldschmidt family dedicated to protecting Diva. Each on of them are Diva's Chevalier. They control the Cinq Flèches Group, a powerful and influential
conglomerate, with the ultimate goal of creating a world of Chiroptera
for Diva's future. The family crest of five arrows and and the names of the brothers are modeled after the family of Mayer Amschel Rothschild
The Schiff, Shifu, or Sif are unstable balance between Chevaliers and Chiropterans. They were prototypes made for the Corpse Corps, pseudo-Chevalier soldiers created from
Diva's blood by a group of scientists under the sponsorship of Amshel
Goldsmith in Khirbet. Although they have similar regenerative abilities, they
eventually die from an attribute they call the “Thorn,” an affliction
that causes their bodies to gradually crystallize. As imperfect beings,
direct exposure to sunlight will cause them to spontaneously combust. Unable to attain Diva's blood, the only suppose cure for Thorn. They die off and leave only leaving Moses, Karman and Lulu surviving. Karman later get infected by Thorn Moses sacrifices himself with Karman and they die together. That only leaves Lulu the only surviving Schiff.
Diva is Saya's twin sister and the story's the story's main antagonist. She contains Delta67 which is from her blood. It is used to transform perople in chiropterans. When she was born she was kept isolated tower as part of an experiment. Because of that she hated Joel. When Saya let her out of her tower she slaughtered him and killed all the people at his birthday party. Her isolation left her childish and socially inept as well as ignorant of the moral ramifications of her actions.
